Why a Blog?

Creating this blog has been an idea in the making for some time. The topic of mentoring has been talked about ad nauseum and we’re here to share what Mary refers to as our reciprocal experience with “natural mentoring”; after all the girl wrote her college thesis on it, she should know. We encourage you to enjoy our stories and don't take anything too seriously.

I've always been drawn to mentorship relationships, so much so that I volunteered in a research lab in college focused on the topic and wrote an Undergraduate Honors Thesis on the benefits of career outcomes on adolescents with mentors. However, I'd never experienced the natural mentorship connection I'd been so passionate about finding until I met Cindy. I'm looking forward to sharing what we've learned from each other as it's shaped my life, and helped me to find confidence in who I am today.
